BBC Who Do You Think You Are? magazine is running a fabulous feature on the Museum of Carpet this month. 

Jodie Edwards, our Collections Officer, submitted the article which timelines the carpet industry in Kidderminster from the 1700’s to the present day, reflecting on the impact the industry had on the town and the people who lived and worked within it.

The article includes several of our historic photos and gives family historians an excellent insight into the kind of information that they can hope to find in business and industrial archives.

The article has already generated a lot of interest – on the day the magazine hit newstands, our website had over 300 hits as researchers logged on to learn about the museum.
