On Thursday 4th December, The Friends of The Museum of Carpet held their annual Christmas Social evening. Compered by Melvyn Thompson, the evening featured two short films from the Museum’s archive.
The first film was a Tomkinsons promotional one from the 1960s and included a young Hazel Sanders (nee Mathews) who was present in the audience to see herself from some 40+ years ago!! The second film was taken from a 2010 TV series “The Waterboatman” which included a visit to Woodward Grosvenor and an interview with Malcolm Foley and ended with a look around Sealine !! How things have changed.
The December draw of the “Carpet Sweep” competition was made and the lucky winners were;
