Families

There is lots for families to do at the Museum of Carpet!

  • Find out about the history of carpets and learn all about designing and weaving with our interactive exhibits – design a rug and have a go at weaving on a handloom
  • Learn all about what life was like for children working in a Victorian carpet factory, and have a go at being a Victorian yourself in our dress-up corner
  • Try our Children’s trail – follow clues around the Museum to help Walter the Weaver find a missing piece of his loom
  • Keep an eye out for our free children’s craft activities, usually ran during school holidays
