Getting Here

The entrance to the Museum is located in then left hand side of the Morrison’s building, nearest Green Street.

  • Car: The museum does not have its own parking, but there is a pay and display car park immediately opposite. Blue badge spaces are available in this car park. Please note Morrisons’ car park is reserved for supermarket customers only and has a restricted time limit for parking (2.5 hours).
  • Bus: The nearest bus stop is Green Street.
  • Rail: Arrive at Kidderminster station. Walk down Comberton Hill and use the subway under the roundabout to reach Green Street. Walk 100m along Green Street and the Museum of Carpet is on your left.

Access and safety

The Museum of Carpet is committed to being a welcoming, accessible museum. We have a concessionary rate for disabled visitors and a complimentary ticket policy for personal assistants and carers. All staff have disability awareness training.

Brilliant museum with very friendly staff who went the extra mile to support our autistic daughter – offering to dim lights and reduce noise.

Visitor
  • Level Access: the museum has level access from the main entrance to all galleries and toilets for visitors. For researchers, there is an accessible lift to the upper floor where the offices, archives, library and meeting rooms are based.
  • Hearing: The fire alarm has flashing lights.
  • Visual: We have display information in audio and large print. Glass doors have contrast markings and walls and doors have high colour contrast.
