What’s On

Halloween at the Museum of Carpet

For one week only (Saturday 24th- Saturday 31st October) the museum is giving away one free children’s ticket with the purchase of every adult or concession ticket.

Kids can enjoy safe and socially distanced spooky Halloween fun and games, following a thrilling free trail around the museum, hunting spooky spiders in the galleries, or crafting their own devilish decorations with instruction cards free to pick up from our gift shop or to download from the website or the Museum of Carpet Facebook page. Craft bags filled with all the materials you need are available from our gift shop.

The Museum of Carpet is much more than its galleries.

Events and Courses

We run workshops which focus on wool, carpet and weaving related crafts, and partner with local craftspeople and artists to host their workshops.

Our previous annual exhibitions explore the history of Kidderminster, the designers of the carpet industry and their inspirations and contemporary woven art.

Our latest project, New Talks for New Audiences, seeks to take our volunteers’ wealth of knowledge and develop three talks around our themes of art, industry and heritage.
