Join us at the Museum of Carpet for this festive Rag Rug weaving session hosted by renowned Rag Rug artist Jenni Stuart-Anderson. This workshop will include demonstrations of the traditional techniques of hooking and progging strips of fabric through hessian backing to make rug wall hangings or seat mats.
In this session you will start a progged project that you may finish at home, which only requires a simple tool and can be worked on knee or table giving a shaggy cut pile.
This workshop is ideal for all abilities from novice to expert rag ruggers.
NB: making a wreath is not mandatory. You may choose your own projects to work on during this workshop using the skills Jenni will demonstrate.
