What to see

Fascinating displays, hand loom & power loom demonstrations and hands on activities. The Museum of Carpet has lots for you to enjoy as you discover over 300 years of Kidderminster’s integral history. Our team of hand loom weavers demonstrate 10am – 1pm, while power loom demonstrations run when possible, dependent upon when our volunteers are able to run the looms (usually around 12pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays).

Museum Collections, Archive and Library. The Museum of Carpet houses an extensive collection of objects, archives, books and photographs relating to the carpet industry dating from the 18th century to the present day. Our Museum archive and library collections are open to research and visits but we do ask that you book your visit in advance. for more information visit our Research; Museum collection, Archive and Library page.
